FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Each of us is a miracle in motion. We are utter magic. We each have unique gifts within us. It is part of our life’s work to delight in our own inner brilliance all the while sharing it wholeheartedly with the world. Part of my work is to help you see this brilliance, these gifts within you. We can never be healthy or whole until we truly know (and revel in) the beauty and brilliance within ourself, and then trust that the world is waiting to be lavished with it. ~Rebecca

Telemedicine

A visit is typically 50-90 minutes long but can be adjusted as needed. we use Practice Better as the video service (via the patient portal), or simply meet via a simple telephone call. Communication leading up to and following the visit will take place via email or the Clinic Portal.

Approximately 50 percent of the visit will be devoted to deep listening, with questions asked to assure. my understanding of your life, body and needs.

Telemedicine is flexible and convenient. Visits can be scheduled before traditional work hours if needed and can be done from anywhere — home, a vehicle, the forest — with no dress code or expectations.

Costs

The cost of a visit depends on a few factors, including time spent and complexity of the visit. On occasion, an additional cost will be added for certain kinds of counseling, such as tobacco cessation, and also for a prolonged visit (longer than 60 minutes). If this applies, we will discuss these costs before proceeding.

The cost of care is set according to the local community standard. Please inquire if you’d like a copy of the fee schedule.

Diagnosis and testing

I ask detailed questions and can sometimes provide visual assessment. I order testing and imaging at your local hospital./clinic I can also order Functional Medicine-Based testing through labs such as Genova Diagnostics, Boston Heart, Diagnostic Solutions Lab (GI Map) and Precision Analytical (DUTCH Testing). If your health concern requires an in-person examination, we work together to choose the best person, and then I write a formal referral (if needed).

Scope of practice

My scope of practice is set by The American College of Nurse-Midwives.  I can work with women from menarche (first menstrual period) through the end of life, and with newly born babies up to 28 days of life. I can see men only if they are seeking treatment for a disease that affects the health of a female patient
